The Beach Boys’ lead singer, Mike Love, will be featured on a new episode of the AXS TV series, The Big Interview, hosted by Dan Rather. The 75-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will share numerous stories from his long and eventful music career and life. The episode will air on Tuesday, October 25th at 7 p.m. and will also highlight information included in his recently published memoir, Good Vibrations.
One of the main topics that Love will discuss with Rather is the inspiration behind The Beach Boys’ early surf-themed hits in addition to the origins of the band’s trademarks and harmonies. The segment will also reveal the story behind the making of the group’s classic song “Good Vibrations” and Love’s decades-long practice of Transcendental Meditation.
“I keep my eye on the goal which is to create and recreate music that makes people feel good,” says Love, “and it has for 50 years,”
